9 Phase Web Development & Site Optimization Process

Vibe9 Design will work closely with you to ensure your website looks and functions beyond your highest expectations.

Below are the 9 steps we generally follow in designing and optimizing our client’s websites. Indeed, there could be more or could be less steps in the process, it all depends on your specific needs.

Phase 1 – Competitor & Market Analysis

Existing and potential web competitors’ online strategies and market share are assessed.

Phase 2 – Keyword Strategy

Keywords and phrases are researched, and a keyword strategy is designed around the keywords your customers will be using to find you on the internet using the top 10 search engines, including Yahoo, MSN and Google.

Phase 3 – Website Architecture Design

The site architecture – i.e. the structure and organization of your site’s information, is developed and a site map and navigation system is produced.

Phase 4 – Website Layout & Graphic Design

One to three mock-up site designs are produced to best reflect the image of your company or brand, and convey the messages your customers should hear. A final design is selected and approved.

Phase 5 – Website Development

Website design layout is produced, which adheres to “modern web standards, using CSS and XHTML. Supporting graphics and FLASH animations are developed and integrated.

Phase 6 – Content Development & Transfer

Site content is gathered and transferred to each web page, either manually or using a standard or customized content managment system, which Vibe9 Design installs.

Phase 7 – Search Engine Optimization

Site is optimized for the search engines. A keyword strategy is implemented, link popularity campaign defined, and website is submitted to top 10 major search engines including Yahoo, MSN and Google.

Phase 8 – Site Testing, Edit & Launch

Review web site content and functionality in a real online setting, submit for approval, then site goes live!

Phase 9 – Site Promotion

This step varies according to client goals, budget, and marketing strategy. Site promotion can involve external link poularity campaigns, banner advertising, and/or various forms of PR and print advertising.
